It’s hard to believe, but this beautiful photo of the Milky Way was taken from an airplane window. Astrophotographer Alessandro Merga captured it  while flying over the Atlantic ocean, using an exposure time of close to 30 seconds while opening the lens up wide to let in the right amount of light.
